Last Day of Kindergarten

Finn cried tonight. The emotions had been building all week, but he was trying to be cool, not to, "Be like a baby or girl for crying." He finally confessed that it was hard to say goodbye to friends for what seems like forever (the summer), and that some friends like Max were moving and he, "Didn't even get to say goodbye." Of course Mom told him this was normal, OK and that everyone cries and it is good to feel and express emotion. I guess he is growing up.

He had a great year. Mr. Melling was top notch. Totally calm, dedicated, kids made good progress. Teacher Michelle, the librarian, music and PE teachers too were great. The class was filled with characters, all the kids had good hearts and each had special talents. Their parents all were great too. We'll miss them as we move to one of four new classes next year. Too bad these kids can't all stay together.

You'll see they had fun on their last day, playing Duck, Duck, Goose, Red Light/Green Light, and having Mr. Melling share fun stories about each one of these unique kids.
