The Cream Team

We survived the first two weeks of school. Hildi learned to cut everything in sight as a coping mechanism, but is now in a class with her best buddies for life (nearly three years). Finn got his first set of homework. Now I understand what all the other parents have been whining about – and I thought being responsible for my own homework was hard! I’ve been so beat that I didn’t even drag my camera for the Swift Family picnic. The birds and card-boarding down the hill did not disappoint. We braced for the downpour that would happen Saturday at Finn’s soccer game, but by the time it started, it was actually turning hot. Our team faced off with Forest Heights. At first they (blue) scored a goal on us. Before long, we were scoring on them, so we went from being anxious because we were getting creamed, to being anxious because we were creaming them. Finn is getting better every game, so it is rewarding to see him step up his play, become better at passing, etc. Kendra, Nana and Papa showed up which seemed to give Finn extra pep. We appreciated it because they helped manage Hildi so Steve could step in as ref and Sarah could enjoy watching and shooting. See the game (and a couple homework shots).
