One of the hottest weeks on record helped complete the Hildi bake cycle a few days early. On Thursday, July 27, 2006 she arrived in record time -- Sarah likes to brag how she did it without any pain intervention, instead with a calm and cool Steve, Nana and Oma, and the nurses and Dr. Barrett. The real fun began at 7:09 p.m. when we were admitted. Less than 5 hours later, with a mere 9 minutes of pushing, Hildi entered the world on in Room 27 at 11:58 p.m. She weighted in a 8 lbs. 3 oz. (Finn was 8 lbs. 8 oz.) and was 2o.25 inches long. As you can see, Finn is very comfortable being a big brother. He says that he loves his Hildi and she loves him . . . we hope that lasts. She is clearly Daddy's little girl. Sarah? She's recovering well. Her sorest spot is still her throat from screaming through the 9 minutes of pushing. We've returned home and tomorrow will celebrate Sarah's birthdayHere are some shots from the last 72 hours.
