It is finally here. Warm weather. We've made the most of it taking our big chickens out for walks (but see how they like their old home, then went in on their own). Letting the little chicks stretch their wings too (so here they are, a Rhode Island Red named Red, Blondie a Buff Orpingtons, Checkers a black and white Barred Rock and Chameleon [Camille for short] the Araucana). And while Sarah strips the deck, the kids find things to do.
For example, Finn got out flour, sugar, water and food coloring, so we added an egg, baking soda, butter, and vanilla, and had one fine green cake. Hildi decided to spread her wings too - it was just the perfect day for it. And fly she and Finn did on Sassee and Rick's tramp were they got a couple lesson from the pro.
