Rose Festival Fun Park Fun

We hit the Waterfront Park with our blue “ride all the rides you can” arm bands (thanks Jenny), now a Harrington tradition. After Sarah said, “If you are tall enough for that Scrambler, I’ll go with you,” Finn was thrilled and Sarah a bit dismayed to see his head above the line for this “big kid” ride. Good news is Sarah didn’t puke. Bad news, the other kiddy rides didn’t quite measure up. SEE PICTURES. Maybe that is why he spent so much time riding other rides with his head in the wrong direction to look at the other kids (mostly girls) on the other rides. By next year he’ll have run of most of the park. By contrast, Hildi was a bit too short for most rides. We did find two that she could go on and became regulars. She loved them saying, “Weeeee.” Others her age would cry and have to have the ride stopped so they could get off. Not our dare devil, she’d sign MORE each time. Steve felt bad for her, so took her for popcorn and ice cream, then pony rides which didn’t take much convincing. She just looked longingly and said, “Mine. Me [pony].” We enjoyed a magician and the dinosaur exhibit where you’ll see Finn using his mastery of science (how an alligator uses its mouth) to impress an older woman. We can’t wait until he wants to go without us (NOT!). As long as he does not become a carnie or aspire to be one of the “interesting” people in the crowd I guess we can count our blessings.
